Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do
I know what online vendors have a copy of your Federal
Firearms License (FFL)?
A: The
FFL List - Online Sites has a list of all the online vendors
who have a copy of my FFL on file.
Q: What do I do if the site I
want to order from is not listed on your FFL List - Online
Sites page?
A: Give me a call or email me,
and I will send out a copy of my FFL to them as soon as possible.
Q: What if I want to purchase a
firearm from an online posting or firearm auction?
A: Contact me for a signed copy
of my FFL that you can mail out along with your payment.
The person posting or selling the firearm will then ship the
firearm to me and I can transfer it to you.
Q: How much do you charge for
firearm transfers?
A: My standard fee is $20 for
both rifles and pistols.
Q: What do I need to bring when I come
to collect my firearm?
A: If you have purchased a pistol, you
will need to bring a valid Iowa Permit to Acquire Handguns.
This can be obtained by visiting your local Sheriff's Office
and waiting for 3 days while they run a background check.
A Concealed Weapons Permit will also be sufficient for
purchasing pistols. If you are buying or transferring
a rifle, a permit is not required. I will have to call
into the FBI, but you may have up to a 3 day waiting period.
You can also use your Pistol Permit to purchase rifles
without the risk of a waiting period.
